Webpage is opening inside video

0

I use the video player plugin from Fotorama. Fotorama use <a href="" to display videos, i can use the video tag too, but the video tag don't support any kind of embed video formats.

When there's no url on the href="" the Fotorama hide this player by defaut, but i'm using PHP to echo the video player, example: echo "<a href=""</a>" but it don't hide the video player when there's no link on the a tag, and when i click on "PLAY" the vide player open a webpage of the current page.

To demonstrate what happens i made this image:
enter image description here

It's really weird. I can put a fake url on it and the video player will not open a webpage inside it. But i want to know: there's any security breach with this video player that open a webpage?
