I'm trying to switch from Lucene 4.1 to Lucene 6.6. I'm trying to use lucene-backward-codecs-5.0.0.jar file, which allow only read data 4.1 version, but not write. Are there ability to continue to write 4.1 version data in 6.6 version?

Generally Lucene has provided tools for handling and migrating only one previous major version. Migrate your index, or use Lucene 4.1.
