Heroku NodeJS Private Gitlab dependency

I am trying to depend my NodeJS app on a private Gitlab project and I would like to push this to Heroku. How do I do this? Do I have to use Buildpacks or is there any other easier way?
It now currently looks like this:
"dependencies": {
....
"my-dependency": "git+ssh://git@gitlab.com:my-group/some-dependency.git",
....
},
On my local machine, ofcourse, everything works like a charm. I've tried to add Config Vars
in the Heroku Console which I've found in previous articles (SSH_KEY
and SSH_HOSTS
) but no success.
