can't connect to server in PC from Android device

0

i build an app chat using socket.io. Everything is working fine on emulator but when i tried to install app on my phone nothing happened. The app on phone can't connect to my PC Server. I try to turn off firewall, open port, add new rule on firewall.

My phone and PC can ping each other and on the same wifi.

My Server IP is : 192.168.1.4

Port is : 3000

here is my code on server.js

var express = require("express");
var app = express();
var server = require("http").createServer(app);
var io = require("socket.io").listen(server);
var fs = require("fs");
server.listen(process.env.PORT || 3000);
io.sockets.on('connection', function (socket) {

console.log("Connecting...");
}

Code on app Android

private Socket mSocket;
{
try {
mSocket = IO.socket("http://192.168.1.4:3000");
} catch (URISyntaxException e) {}
}
@Override
protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
setContentView(R.layout.activity_main);
mSocket.connect();
}

  • Try running a packet capture on the server (using tcpdump or Wireshark) while starting the app, and post the results. You can also add an error listener to your app (mSocket.socket.on( Socket.EVENT_CONNECT_ERROR, ... )) for additional diagnostic information. Please add any app stack traces to the question.
