Video “eating” click events (Safari)
I've built an accordion type page where I have 4 headers and each can be clicked to show collapsible content. Inside the content there are embedded YouTube videos.
I have the problem that on Safari the toggle click doesn't always work. At first I thought the issue can be resolved by adding the {cursor: pointer;} fix to the CSS however it persisted; I read somewhere that videos "eat" click events so apparently my problem is coming from there. I couldn't find a solution for this though (and keeping the videos inside my collapsible content is essential).
Anyone has an idea how to fix this?
UPDATE: I found a related question - Click event not triggering over youtube iframe in mobile safari - which helps if the video has been watched and then you click on the element - the click now works fine.
However if I open a collapsible and scroll inside without launching the video, then try to close the collapsible, the click doesn't register unless you do it 3-4 times
