Why the same index.html cached in other roures?

I have a SPA.

When a client visits my site through any route, he loads the same index.html, this file is not cached, index.html includes js and css files that are cached.

When I update the site on the server and the client comes to the page(by route /account, for example) for the first time after the update, it still has the old index file... But if after the first visit reloading site, then the index is updated and the rest files accordingly.

Well, if it were so, it's not critically bad.

Here on route /account the site was updated. If I open a new tab and visit the site again with some other route, everything repeats...

Nginx config:

map $sent_http_content_type $expires {
~image/ 30d;
text/html off;
default 7d;
}

location / {
try_files $uri $uri/ /index.html;
expires $expires;
}

In inspector index.html is not cached!!!
