How to change truffle console account with metasmask account?
I recently found out the cause of "insufficient gas" when truffle migrate --network ropsten
I went inside the truffle console --network ropsten
then I run this command web3.eth.getAccount()
it returned an address that i am not familiar with and it has 0 eth.
This is my truffle.js
by the way:
ropsten: {
provider: new HDWalletProvider(MNEMONIC, "https://ropsten.infura.io/"+key),
network_id: 3,
gas: 2000000,
gasPrice: 10000000000
}
I have metamask installed in my chrome, I choose ropsten testnet and I have an account with 5 eth.
If I add from: "0xaddress"
in the truffle.js
it returns unknown address. But its actually exist in ropsten blockchain.
console migrate truffle

AFAIK, when you are usingfrom:
keyword in truffle.js file, it will need to connect to a node that has keystore inside it. Try running Geth light client locally, create a new account, request ETH using Ropsten faucet for that account, set your network inside truffle.js to connect to your Ropsten Geth light client and deploy again.

I solved the problem by reinstalling metamask and truffle. truffle gets the main account of the metamask. So its okay now
