Amalgamation base, extending Galois type

Here on the page 12 the Observation 1.11 5) says

If $Mleq_{frak K} N$ are from ${frak K}_{lambda}$, $M$ is an amalgamation base
and $pin mathscr{S}(M) ;underline{text{then}}$ there is $qin mathscr{S}(N)$ extending $p$,
so the mapping $qmapsto qupharpoonright M$ is a function from $mathscr{S}(N)$ onto $mathscr{S}(M)$.

My question is easy: how have we technically used in the entire paragraph that $M$ is an amalgamation base ?? Some diagrams would clarify the situation!
