Expected rounds when first one go bankrupt? [closed]
$begingroup$
There are $n$ persons and everyone has $m$ dollars, each round every one should give $1$ dollar to others randomly, what's the expected rounds until one has no dollar?
And what if each round every one give $1$ dollar to $n$ person randomly, include himself?

I don't see why this question was closed. It can be written down as a Markov chain, and the stopping time corresponding to the first time at which at least one person has no money is well-defined.

@easymath3, usually posts which contain only the statement of a problem without any background or showing one's personal efforts (something like "solve this or that") run into the risk of being deemed off-topic. So, please try to provide more context to your question, most importantly anything you've tried.

@Hayk: I don't think posts that lack display of effort should be marked as off-topic without explanation. I think such posts should receive comments detailing the issue (especially in the case of new/inexperienced users).

@parsiad, just to be clear, I was not stating the official reason why the post was closed (that I do not know, the reason I brought up seemed the most likely to me) neither I am for closing each and every post solely based on the lack of displayed effort. To me, the closing decision very much depends on the post and the problem itself. Anyways, my earlier comment was an attempt to facilitate the re-opening of this post. Apparently, that does not seem to work.
