Fed up with Laravel's 5.7 webpack mix: $(…).datepicker() is not a function
So there are at least 3 questions on here about how to do this and they all link back to to the same blog article that doesn't work.
This is in my jquery.js file:
import $ from 'jquery';
window.$ = window.jQuery = $;
import 'jquery-ui/ui/widgets/datepicker.js';
If I load from the CDN instead of locally, it works just fine. If I try and import from NPM, $(...).datepicker() is not a function
. #DumpsterFire.
The only thing I am changing is the path to jquery-ui in my script tag and commenting out the import. Yes, I recompiled the assets and yes caching is disabled.

So, quite literally by magic, this started working after a cigarette break... same code, didn't even rebuild it and it auto-magically starts working. #ReproducibleResults
