Mutex not working on some versions of android

0

I have an issue that's been plaguing my app since day 1.

For some users for an unknown reason, Mutex doesn't do its job. Here are the code samples :

object Tools {
val Mutex = kotlinx.coroutines.sync.Mutex()
...
}

Then the user :

 Tools.Mutex.withLock {
DoSomeStuffWithZipFile()
}

Now for almost everybody, it works flawlessly with 4 threads running. But for some in the Crashlytics reports, I see that all of the 4 threads are currently inside the lock trying to write on the same zip File.

It's android 6/7/8 that got 32% of the report each, with 9 and lower that have to problems.

Also, the error is ENOENT no such file or directory in a RandomAccessFile() constructor with "rw" option, which is weird in itself...
