Python subprocess, communicate without send

0

Hi I want to simulate linux program expect, when program ask me for example for login, I want to send this data to console.

When I have to put data in next line, everything works, but when program wait for input in the same line, where is message, I cant read that, program freez and I can do nothing.

Can I use subprocess.communicate() without text to sent in brackets, or decide when and what should be sent?

My program (Works only if, program wait for input in new line):

from subprocess import Popen, PIPE
from time import sleep

p = Popen(["java", "testing"],
stdin = PIPE, stdout = PIPE, stderr = PIPE, shell = True)
while True:
output = p.stdout.readline()
print output
if "Hello, give me data:" == output.strip():
p.stdin.write('Your datan')
if "OUT" == output:
p.stdin.write('EXITmmandn')
sleep(0.1)
if not output:
break
sleep(2)

Testing program in java [when I remove ln in System.out.println("Hello, give me data:"); its not working]:

import java.util.Scanner;
public class testing{
public static void main(String args){
Scanner s = new Scanner(System.in);
String string = "";
System.out.println("Hello, give me data:");
text = s.nextLine();
System.out.println(text);
System.out.println("Goodbye");
}
}
