How can I get the token id from a Cordova App?

I Created a cordova app to receive push notifications, I did it this way
cordova create simplepush com.simplepush.app
cd simplepush/
cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-firebase --save
cordova platform add android
cordova run android
Now on my miguelpush/www/js/index.js I add this lines of code to receive the token id but it shows undefined
window.FirebasePlugin.getToken(function(token) {
// save this server-side and use it to push notifications to this device
console.log(token);
}, function(error) {
console.error(error);
});
What's wrong with my code?
