Below is my problem,
I want to show date from models.py to template with regex because i want to show only date(like this--2019-Jan-03 but date is showing like this--(datetime.date(2017, 1, 2),)).



code for this which i am trying--
pub_date_show = MdBkDatesReference.objects.values_list('pub_date')[:6]
pub_date_show_clean = re.sub(r'[^0-9 ]',"",str(pub_date_show))



it is showing output like this..... 2017 1 2 2018 1 3.....



then i tried with this for getting like this--(2019-Jan-03)
pub_date_show = MdBkDatesReference.objects.values_list('pub_date')[:6]
pub_date_show_clean = re.sub(r'[^0-9 ]',"",str(pub_date_show))
date_month_name = datetime.strptime(pub_date_show_clean, "%Y %d %m").strftime("%Y/%B/%d")



i tired but could not successfull.
Please help
