Firebase storage get images linked to a document
I have multiple documents in Firebase firestore that have images linked to them, I added the image download url's to the document, my structure in Firebase looks like this:
nested array
Now I'm trying to get the images for the document(s) in a separate array when I'm getting the documents, so that I can show them in an Ionic slider.
What I did so far:
this.itemsCollectionHouse = afs.collection<House>('houses', ref =>
ref.where('valid_until', '>', currentDateFormatted));
this.itemsCollectionHouse.valueChanges().subscribe(houseSub => {
for (let house of houseSub) {
this.images = house.images;
/* if(this.images.length > 0) {
for(var i = 0; i <= this.images.length; i++){
// this.imagePath.add(houseSub.images.image[i]);
}
}*/
}
});
I'm using the for loop (which is now commented out) because users can add images to a max of 10 images, so I never know how many images a user has stored.
So does anybody know how I can get the stored download URL for the corresponding document? I'm sure there is a much beter solution then what I'm doing now, so any help is greatly appreciated.
My html file looks like this now (for the slider):
Ion slider
Because I also tried to call the download URL directly in the html, but I don't know the name of the variable in firebase, because that could go from image0 to image10. So I think I have to store it in an Array first to call the object?
