Excel VBA QueryTables.Add: deactivate date conversion

0

unfortunately I was not able to find a solution for my problem, althought I googled a lot :D

In my opinion a question, which should have an easy solution:

That is my standard import code:

Private Sub Import(x)

Sheets("Buffer").Activate

With ActiveSheet.QueryTables.Add(Connection:="URL;" & x, _
Destination:=Range("A1"))
' .Name = "VPE"
.FieldNames = False 'x
.RowNumbers = False
.FillAdjacentFormulas = False
.PreserveFormatting = True
.RefreshOnFileOpen = False
.BackgroundQuery = False 'x
.RefreshStyle = xlInsertDeleteCells
.SavePassword = False
.SaveData = True
.AdjustColumnWidth = True
.RefreshPeriod = 0
.WebSelectionType = xlEntirePage
.WebFormatting = xlWebFormattingNone
.WebPreFormattedTextToColumns = True
.WebConsecutiveDelimitersAsOne = True
.WebSingleBlockTextImport = False
.WebDisableDateRecognition = False
.WebDisableRedirections = False
.Refresh BackgroundQuery:=False
End With

End Sub

My problem is, that my imported file ( .htm) automatically converts the cells. For example the product version: 6.0 , 6.08, 6.48. > Excel interpreted that as a date and I cant process the data anymore. What I already tried:

  1. Convert the sheet "Buffer" to text/numbers only > excel overrides it

  2. I had a look in the official query table object site ( https://docs.microsoft.com/de-de/office/vba/api/excel.querytable)
    but I was not able to find the right statement/flag

  3. Setting the delimiter from "," to "."

I hope you are able to help me =)

regards

Florian
