PrintWriter print data into outputstream of socket but Chrome always show ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

0

I am trying to simulate a tomcat. The code is very simple here. It generates a socket connection, and write data into the output stream.

public void await() {
ServerSocket serverSocket = null;
int port = 8080;
try {
serverSocket = new ServerSocket(port, 1, InetAddress.getByName("127.0.0.1"));
} catch (IOException e) {
e.printStackTrace();
System.exit(1);
}

// Loop waiting for a request
while (!shutdown) {
Socket socket = null;
InputStream input = null;
OutputStream output = null;
try {
socket = serverSocket.accept();
output = socket.getOutputStream();
output.write("hellorn".getBytes());
output.flush();
output.close();

socket.close();
} catch (Exception e) {
e.printStackTrace();
//System.exit(1);
}
}
}

While I am visiting http://127.0.0.1:8080/ in Chrome, I find the code is working fun, no exception. I guess it should return hello. But Chrome always show ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE.

I see there are similar issues here in StackOverflow, but no opinion.

ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE in Chrome

Socket odd behaviour

Anyone can help? Thanks.
