Using Bastion Server to Connect to a MongoDB Database Client (Robo 3T) Stored on a Private Subnet

0

I have a testing environment which consists of a web client (stored on a public subnet) and a DB server (MongoDB, hosted on a private subnet.
The private subnet is not facing the internet, means, doesn't accept any incoming connections beside from the web client.

During the testing phase, I have encountered a few times that I wanted to connect to the MongoDB instance using Robo 3T.

Now, as I know it won't be possible doing so directly, is there a way to use the web server, as a bastion server for that purpose? Forward all the incoming data on port 27017 to the DB server, and forward all the outgoing data on port 27017 to my Robo 3T (of course only to my ip address).

Some sort of a reverse proxy, or request forwarding for MongoDB, making the web server a bastion server for that purpose.

Thank you.
