When to use properties window for a wincontrol in codedui
I needed to add some Search property other than Name property for a butotn. I added ControlName in properties window but again did not worked, did not recognizsed by codedui. With this questions, I also wonder idea behind usage of peroperties window. What it brings us to add it from properties window ? Since we can also add it in the code..
when added in properties, no need to add it as SearchProperties in the code ?
Or when added from properties does it mean, it will write on designer file ? I mean it will write and will not be disappear after a new recording ?
The playback failed to find the control with the given search properties.
Additional Details:
TechnologyName: 'MSAA'
ControlType: 'Button'
Name: 'Open'
ControlName: 'ePeriod'
I added ControlName in the code as below
public WinButton UIOpenButton
{
get
{
if ((this.mUIOpenButton == null))
{
this.mUIOpenButton = new WinButton(this);
#region Search Criteria
this.mUIOpenButton.SearchProperties[WinButton.PropertyNames.Name] = "Open";
this.mUIOpenButton.SearchProperties[WinButton.PropertyNames.ControlName] = "ePeriod";
this.mUIOpenButton.WindowTitles.Add("ProMANAGE © Doruk Otomasyon ( admin @ Demo )");
#endregion
}
return this.mUIOpenButton;
}
}

What do you mean with "propery window"? The properties from a control you added to the coded ui map with the inspector tool from VS?
