React: how can an HTML element reference itself?
Here is my setup:
inputRefs = [
/* input #0's ref */,
/* input #1's ref */,
/* input #2's ref */,
/* etc */
]
selectedInput = 1
selectedStyle = {color:"red"}
An input like this is created whenever the user clicks an "Add new input" button and its ref added to inputRefs above:
<input ref={this.saveRef} style={this.styles[???]}/>
How can I get an input to use selectedStyle if its inputRefs index equals selectedInput's value?
In this example, inputRefs[1] should get style={{selectedStyle}} while all other inputs should not.
EDIT: Part of the problem is "style" does not appear to take a callback function or give access to the element. It would be nice if it worked like this
style={el => /* do something*/}
but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is there another way to get "el" into the style code block?
