Why dxGetText typical ignores for Delphi IBX are so few?

0

I am trying to use dxGetText and typical ignores for Delphi IBX components http://dxgettext.po.dk/documentation/typical-ignores#TOC-Interbase-Express-IBX- include only those:

 TP_GlobalIgnoreClass(TIBDatabase);
TP_GlobalIgnoreClass(TIBDatabase);
TP_GlobalIgnoreClass(TIBTransaction);
TP_GlobalIgnoreClassProperty(TIBSQL,'UniqueRelationName');

In my experience I need to add as a minimum at least the following ones as well:

  TP_GlobalIgnoreClassProperty(TIBDataSet,'DeleteSQL');
TP_GlobalIgnoreClassProperty(TIBDataSet,'RefreshSQL');
TP_GlobalIgnoreClassProperty(TIBDataSet,'ModifySQL');
TP_GlobalIgnoreClassProperty(TIBDataSet,'DeleteSQL');

But even these are not sufficient and dxGetText still tries to modify SQL statements (and hence closes and opens IBX dataset during the form/data module load).

Why it is assumed that official typical ignores are so few? Maybe additional mechanisms beyond ingores should work for IBX?

I am using Delphi 2009 (I guess 10 years is not so much for Delphi), but I guess that this applies to other Delphi versions as well.

  • "Why?" is something that only the developer of dxGetText could answer. Perhaps your question should be re-phrased something like "How do I avoid dxGetText modifying SQL statements despite DeleteSql etc being in the Ignore list?" But IAC you are probably more likely to get a useful answer from the developer than asking here.
