how to change column collation type in sql?
ALTER TABLE
test ALTER COLUMN
name CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET
utf8
COLLATe utf8_general_ci
I want one of the column to be multilingual, so i changed collation type to utf8_general_ci
in database. Its accepting multilingual data and displaying in web app. But when in mobile, multilingual column value is displaying as "??????" (question marks). I tried to encode column data by above query but query is not getting executed. Kindly let me know how to send multilingual column in API .

You must set the character collation 2x. In the database structure and when connected. Here is example for MySQL: dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/charset-connection.html
