PlayFramework: How do I know a user downloaded a file completely?

0

I am using PlayFramework (currently v2.6.3) with Java.

I am providing a dynamically generated CSV file the user has to download with his browser.

For simplicity, I am storing the CSV in a temp file and then I stream it to the user, following this approach from https://www.playframework.com/documentation/2.6.x/JavaStream#serving-files

public Result index() {
return ok(new java.io.File("/tmp/fileToServe.pdf"), "fileToServe.pdf");
}

Now, this CSV file could be rather large, let's say 30MB. I must know, if the user downloaded the whole file or not.

Background:
If file is downloaded completely, I want to flag my records in the database as "isDownloaded".

If he the user cancels the download after 5MB or the network breaks down, I do not want to flag anything.

So how can I detect a complete download with PlayFramework?

Thank you,
schube
