How to manage a pure source package with cmake?
I want to manage my own packages with cmake
to solve the dependence, and I don't want to write absolute paths in my project files. I need some function like find_package
, but I don't want to link pre-compiled targets. Instead, I want to compile my packages when it is used. I want to know the best practice.
I tried find_package
. In my package-config.cmake
, I tried imported
library with interface
, and an error occurs on link process. It seems that interface
only works on the head only library (without cpp file). And I tried imported
library with static
, but it seems that static
need a pre-compiled lib.
In one word, I just want to solve the dependence (get the path and maybe set the package compile options), but I don't want to write absolute paths in my project files.
I use cmake
on windows
with MSVC
and on WSL
with gcc
.
cmake
