React Redux redirect to newly created entity
Im new to React and Redux, so I want to know how to solve this in the best possible way.
I have a project built with JHipster which has given me a base-project with reducers and entities etc..
The problem I can't solve is How to redirect to a page after i created an entity, and send that entity along with a bool "newlyCreated" to the state of that page. (In this case the home page).
In the view I have this:
saveEntity = (event, errors, values) => {
values.timeZone = new Date(values.timeZone);
if (errors.length === 0) {
const { clubEntity } = this.props;
const entity = {
...clubEntity,
...values
};
this.props.createEntity(entity);
}
};
And in the reducer:
export const createEntity: ICrudPutAction<IClub> = entity => async dispatch => {
const result = await dispatch({
type: ACTION_TYPES.CREATE_CLUB,
payload: axios.post(apiUrl, cleanEntity(entity))
});
dispatch(getEntities());
return result;
};
My first try was to use "then" as:
this.props.createEntity(entity).then(...);
But that did not work. How do I approach this and do I redirect inside the view or the reducer or in a middleware?
Sorry for the confusion, I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.
