TypeError: Cannot read property 'stream' of undefined. [Mongoosastic]

0

This is my main.js where ElasticSerach for indexing product is.

var Product = require('../models/product');
..
..
var stream = Product.synchronize();
..
//Search logic
..
router.get('/product/:id', function(req, res, next) {
Product.findById({ _id: req.params.id }, function(err, product) {
if (err) return next(err);
res.render('main/product', {
product: product
});
});
});

I am getting the type error TypeError: Cannot read property 'stream' of undefined for the var stream line.

This is my Moongoose schema in ../models/product.js

var mongoose = require('mongoose');
var mongoosastic = require('mongoosastic');
var Schema = mongoose.Schema;

var ProductSchema = new Schema({
category: { type: Schema.Types.ObjectId, ref: 'Category'},
name: String,
price: Number,
image: String
});

ProductSchema.plugin(mongoosastic, {
hosts: [
'localhost:9200'
]
});

module.exports = mongoose.model('Product', ProductSchema);

I have opened an elasticsearch connection in another terminal.
The tutorial from where I am referring from has no issues, but my system has issues for the same.
What should I do to revert this problem?
