How to remove the html tags from a Column while retrieving data from mysql?

in PHPMySql DataBase the data stores with HTML tags like
... i want to remove these tags while fetching data from PHPMySql.



eg in db it seems as follows

[td]DOCUMENT UPLOADED COUNT[/td]

[tr][td]RIF[/td]
[td]209[/td]
[/tr]
[tr][td]BKW[/td]
[td]101[/td]
[/tr]

[/tr]
[/table]"


actually i need as follows while retrieving data from database,

RIF 209
