Override EditText cursor moving behavior in android tv (fire tv)
I would like to know if there is any way to override the behavior of moving the cursor inside the EditText when you are in Android TV (Fire TV in my case). So you don't have a touchscreen but a D-pad to move around.
My use case explained:
I have the EditText that gets the focus and it has text inside. If the user would press the DPad to focus down or up to go to another view, the cursor moves instead of the focus. It forces you to press the DPad twice.
Making the cursor not visible doesn't help.
The only workaround I have so far is to select all text in the EditText programmatically.
Does anyone have a better solution?
