Look at the output of xdmp:plan of your search. I expect the insensitive options are defeating wildcard optimization in such a way that you are getting a very weak query.

Look at the output of xdmp:plan of your search. I expect the insensitive options are defeating wildcard optimization in such a way that you are getting a very weak query.
