Espresso synchronization with external source

0

I would like to test (with espresso) the button, after which I download the content from the internet, then check whether the content is in the right view.

The problem is of course the synchronization of the espresso. Is there any other way than the one proposed by google (increment idlingResource into production code)?

I would not like to mix my test code with the production code.
